A highly regarded Wealth Management firm servicing Financial Planning needs of HNW & UHNW clients, the main office is based in London.
The Role
The Junior Financial Planner will sit within a top performing team who are generating significant client business. This is an integral role taking responsibility for a selection of clients and delivering high quality, personalised financial planning advice under supervision. The Junior Financial Planner will conduct client meetings (jointly with a Senior Director), ensuring clear communication of recommendations and strategy. The Junior Financial Planner will prepare and present financial plans, ensuring they align with clients’ goals, risk profiles, and regulatory standards. Use existing paraplanning expertise to produce accurate technical calculations, cashflow modelling, and suitability reports. There will be Paraplanning support also provided. The Junior Financial Planner will support the Financial Advice process by researching products, providers, and solutions aligned with client objectives. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on taxation, investments, pensions, protection, and broader financial planning considerations. The Junior Financial Planner will confidently draft and co-ordinate technical documents and research for client presentations, maintain accurate records, prepare review packs and pre-meeting materials and continuously look for ways to improve the suitability report template.
The Candidate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Paraplanner or Assistant Wealth Planner
- Client facing experience, as well as preparing suitability reports, cashflow models, and complex technical research.
- Ability to interpret technical and regulatory information and apply it to client scenarios.
- CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) essential
- Working towards (or willingness to) CII Advanced Diploma
- Product knowledge with the ability to work in a small team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Organised and methodical
