This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator – Joinery/Manufacturing to join an exceptional manufacturing company in a key role. The business provides manufacturing services - via group companies - to some of Britain’s best-known organisations and brands.

The Estimator – Joinery/Manufacturing will create and maintain accurate and efficient cost estimates and tender submissions for joinery, metalwork and manufacturing projects in line with company objectives. The Estimator (Joinery/Manufacturing) is responsible for preparing accurate, timely and professional cost estimates across bespoke joinery, metalwork and other manufacturing disciplines. This requires a strong understanding of production methods, materials, labour requirements and manufacturing workflows, supported by structured estimating templates and specialist software.

Key tasks and responsibilities within the role include:

  • Estimating & Tendering
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • MRP & Bill of Materials (BOM) Structuring
  • Manufacturing Liaison
  • Collaboration with Procurement
  • Design & Technical Coordination
  • Bid & Proposal Submission
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Compliance & Reporting

Suitable candidates will need:

  • Proven experience in estimating within joinery, manufacturing, fit-out, metalwork, or similar production-based industries
  • Strong understanding of joinery and metalwork manufacturing processes, materials, and workshop operations
  • Proficiency with estimating software and structured Excel models
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and schedules
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines

And will ideally have:

  • Previous, hands-on joinery, workshop, or metal fabrication experience
  • Experience with CAD, ERP/MRP systems, or production planning tools
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows, supplier management, and cost control
