Job Description

IT Project Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions (Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in Cambridge

Day Rate: £750 - £850pd (Inside IR35)

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology workstreams within a fast-paced M&A environment. You’ll oversee the secure transition, separation, or integration of IT systems, with a strong focus on infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT projects within structured methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Manage infrastructure and security elements during M&A transitions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and global teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and status reporting in line with governance standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading IT workstreams in M&A programmes.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure, data centers etc.
  • 5+ years’ IT project management experience (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and confident in complex, sensitive environments.
