Our client is seeking a motivated and ambitious Town Planner to join their growing team in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, rural and mixed‑use developments across East Anglia and beyond, while benefiting from a supportive and collaborative working environment. Responsibilities

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
  • Providing planning advice to a broad range of clients
  • Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
  • Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultees and stakeholders
  • Managing projects and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Monitoring planning policy and legislative changes
  • Supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex schemes

About You

  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership
  • Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or property environment
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and a client‑focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence
