They will ensure the fleet remains consistently roadworthy and reliable by promptly addressing recurring issues, defects and potential maintenance delays to return vehicles to service as quickly as possible. They will review truck capacities and condition, collaborate with the Operations Director on fleet replacement programmes through CAPEX budgeting, specify truck requirements and manage the purchase and sale of vehicles with the approval of the Operations Director.
What you’ll need to succeed
Transport Manager CPC qualification would be a preference. Proven experience in fleet management, with a strong emphasis on road tankers and fuel goods vehicles. Deep technical understanding of road tanker components, maintenance practices and specifications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and report on costs. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively across departments.
What you’ll get in return
You will join a respected and growing organisation that values its people and invests in operational excellence.
