As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be joining a leading civil and structural engineering firm in Leeds. You will play a key role in delivering exciting infrastructure projects from concept to construction, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plans and technical drawings for all stages of the project lifecycle, including concept design, detailed design, and construction.
- Produce design drawings to support technical approvals and guide construction, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and regulations.
- Undertake infrastructure design using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D, focusing on accuracy, quality, and industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams, contributing technical expertise throughout the project delivery process.
What are we looking for
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from initial concept through to final completion in a multi‑disciplinary consultancy environment.
- Solid technical knowledge with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and WinDes (MicroDrainage), with practical experience in the design of drainage systems.
- Sound understanding of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and preparation of Section 104 adoption agreements.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desirable, particularly for earthworks modelling and highway design.
- Familiarity with preparation of Section 38 and Section 278 agreements is a distinct advantage.
