Role Overview and Purpose

Utilise your core skills as an Air Conditioning Service Engineer, performing reactive fault diagnostics, installations and full commissioning and servicing of HVAC equipment, chillers, air handling units and related components.

Provide warranty repairs, compile reports and information sheets in accordance with the company’s Quality System, and cooperate with contract staff to achieve contract terms.

Produce non‑commissioning related documentation such as technical reports and rejection reports, manage health & safety responsibilities, liaise with contract managers, promote the after‑sales service and maintenance divisions, and report any issues that may delay contract completion.

Working Hours and On‑Call Duties

Mon–Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility to work at multiple sites and regular on‑call cover for emergencies outside normal hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly timesheet and submit to line manager.
  • Submit expenses weekly with supporting receipts.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for customers, obtain signatures for invoicing.
  • Complete engineer’s worksheet in full, detailing plant requiring additional work.
  • Complete Minor Works and Installation Certificates after electrical installations or alterations.
  • Phoning line manager/office administrator at the end of each job to update.
  • Phoning office helpdesk at the end of the day as part of the lone‑working procedure.
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points, no pending cases).
  • Experience in HVAC & building services engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years field‑based service / fault‑finding experience.
  • Knowledge of FGAS regulation (City & Guilds).
  • Knowledge of NVQ / City & Guilds in Air Conditioning and/or Refrigeration manufacturer course.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and building management systems.
  • Desirable licences: IPAF, PASMA.
