An established, design‑led building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the growth of their MEP team in Hemel Hempstead. The Role
- As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll take a leading role in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across a portfolio of bespoke and design‑focused projects.
- Producing detailed electrical designs including calculations, specifications, and drawings.
- Designing systems such as power, lighting, containment, and life safety systems.
- Supporting projects from concept design through to installation and commissioning.
- Coordinating closely with mechanical engineers, architects, and external consultants.
- Attending client and design team meetings.
- Carrying out site visits, inspections, and witnessing/commissioning activities.
- Supporting and mentoring more junior engineers where appropriate.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Strong experience in electrical design within the built environment.
- Comfortable working across multiple project stages.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Working towards chartership or already chartered (desirable).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
