The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.

You will be joining a well-established organization operating within the construction industry, managing one of their projects/sites based in North London. The business has a strong operational footprint and is focused on maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Location: Site-based role, requiring you to be on site 5 days a week. The position is a 3‑month rolling contract and starts immediately.

Your new role

As Interim Health & Safety Manager, you will take a lead role in overseeing all HSE activity on site. This is a hands‑on position requiring regular engagement with operational teams to drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day health, safety and environmental performance
  • Undertake site inspections, audits and risk assessments
  • Review and update RAMS
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Support site leadership in continuous HSE improvement
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies including the HSE and Environment Agency

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within construction or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (essential)
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma
  • Experience working in operational, UK site‑based environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A proactive, practical and solutions‑focused approach
  • Availability to start at short notice
