Are you a heavy-hitting delivery leader who still has the "engine" to drive growth? We are seeking a Head of Delivery for a leading player in the fire protection and life safety space. This is a high-impact role for a commercially sharp, energetic professional who can balance high-level strategic oversight with the humility to align with a dedicated, values-driven ownership group.

The Opportunity: This isn't just a "business as usual" management role. You will be taking the helm of the entire delivery function for a business experiencing significant momentum. You will oversee a team - including Projects Directors, PMs, and site operatives - ensuring that exceptional quality and customer experience remain at the heart of every installation. They are looking for someone dynamic. If you are "set in your ways," this isn't for you. They want a leader who is flexible, eager to learn the nuances of their unique business model, and capable of pivoting strategies to meet the demands of a fast-scaling environment.

The Role: Strategic & Operational Excellence

  • Strategic Roadmap: Defining and executing the overarching project delivery strategy to support continued business growth.
  • Commercial Prowess: Taking full ownership of project profitability, managing complex P&Ls, and maintaining a laser focus on profit margins.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Inspiring and coaching a multi-tiered team, from Projects Directors down to site operatives, to build a deep bench of management talent.
  • Client & Risk Management: Acting as the senior face to key clients and managing high-level risks across financial, safety, and legal/contractual aspects (JCT, NEC, etc.).
  • Supply Chain Evolution: Overseeing strategic relationships with subcontractors and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.

Who You Are:

The Profile: You are likely a Senior Operations Director or Head of Projects currently, perhaps looking for that £175k ceiling. They are also very interested in "rising stars" currently in the £130k–£140k bracket who are ready to step up into a heavy-hitting role.

Sector Expertise: Extensive experience within fire and security systems or complex MEP installation projects is essential.

Commercial Grit: You have a tangible track record of financial and operational success in managing multi-site installations ranging from small works to £5m+ projects.

Adaptability: You possess "Athletes Grit" and a "Captains Duty" - you are someone who can take direction from top-level control while providing the expert advice needed to move the needle.

Mobile: You are comfortable with extensive UK travel and overnight stays to ensure standards are met across all sites.

Why Join? This business operates with a "Fun Loving Heart" but a serious professional backbone. You will have the autonomy to shape a delivery team while being supported by a stable, principled business structure. Ready to lead the charge? If you have the energy to win work, grow teams, and maintain elite standards, let’s talk.
