Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety is always prioritized.
- Perform assignments requiring the application of standard criteria, procedures, and techniques.
- Support senior environmental personnel with performing site inspections, field sampling, data analysis, research, and preparing reports/mapping.
- Complete and submit field reports in a legible and timely manner.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures for collecting environmental samples (soil, water, groundwater) to complete routine environmental assignments.
- Utilize publicly available data, maps, satellite imagery, GIS data and other sources to perform site analysis.
- Prepare reports and correspondence related to assigned projects.
- Strive to make each project profitable by completing each task efficiently and timely.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding projects.
- Participate in business development and customer service.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geology, or other appropriate scientific discipline.
- 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Meets the definition of an Environmental Professional (EP) under All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI) rule 40 CFR § 312.10.
- Experience performing Phase I or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Experience with the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund.
- Must possess advanced reading, writing and math skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments.
