Fletcher George is working with a leading accountancy practice looking to appoint an Audit Manager to join its growing and highly regarded audit team. The client base includes large regional businesses, charities, sizeable groups and organisations with international interests, providing exposure to interesting and technically diverse assignments. You will be joining a firm with an excellent reputation and a strong audit offering within the wider Surrey and South East market. Importantly, this is very much a management role rather than a supervisory position, with responsibility across client relationships, team leadership, workflow management and the overall delivery of audit assignments.

The Role
  • Managing a varied and technically interesting audit portfolio
  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Acting as a key point of contact to clients
  • Managing client relationships across larger businesses and groups
  • Leading, mentoring and developing team members to include active and newly qualified auditors
  • Managing workflow, planning and team review
  • Supporting partners on more complex assignments and wider client matters

About You
  • ACA, ICAS, ACCA, SAICA or equivalent qualified
  • Experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
  • Likely to be coming from a Top 20, Top 50 firm or an independent practice with a strong audit offering
  • Strong audit technical knowledge with previous management responsibility
  • Comfortable leading teams and taking ownership of client relationships

This salary banding has been set by Fletcher George as a guide of £60,000 – £75,000, with each application considered based upon relevant audit experience, people management capability and review skills. This opportunity is likely to suit individuals commuting from Guildford, Farnham, Haslemere, Woking, Esher and surrounding areas. Applicants must have a full and current right to work in the UK.
