Job Description
We are working with a rapidly expanding top 35 accountancy practice to hire a Group Risk and Compliance Manager for their compliance team.
In this role, you will support the director in delivering the overarching compliance strategy, coordinating group‑wide risk governance frameworks and managing integration activities for newly acquired UK firms.
The firm is looking for a senior professional with a minimum of 5 years of UK regulatory experience gained within a professional services practice or directly with a relevant regulatory body.
Candidates must possess a strong foundational understanding of risk management, alongside solid knowledge of data protection, anti‑bribery, and customer due diligence.
The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the exceptional communication and negotiation skills required to build rapport and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across multiple regional locations.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and embedding a comprehensive group‑wide risk governance framework and maintaining the central risk register across all business operations.
- Coordinating the compliance integration of newly acquired firms and managing regulatory applications to professional bodies for service lines such as audit and financial crime.
- Preparing detailed risk reports and summary dashboards for senior management and the board to highlight key exposures and trends.
- Providing day‑to‑day oversight of risk and compliance activities, managing team workflows, and addressing ad‑hoc queries from the business.
- Draft, implement, and communicate new regulatory guidelines across the organisation to promote a proactive compliance culture.
- Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with professional bodies and internal partners to ensure all regulatory risks are reported effectively.
- Assessing strategic compliance processes and advising on suitable software solutions to support the ongoing expansion of the business.
- Consultation with internal information technology teams and service line partners to run cross‑group compliance governance forums.
