The purpose of this role is to maintain the integrity, quality, and compliance of the entire knowledge ecosystem. The specialist develops, enforces, and audits standards and rules that ensure knowledge is consistently accurate, high‐quality, and audit‐ready. A core focus is on continuously optimising Knowledge Management (KM) workflows for maximum efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Establish foundational rules and processes that govern how knowledge is created, managed, and archived.
  • Define the governance model, including setting content standards, template requirements, and publishing policies.
  • Actively monitor and report on adherence to these standards across the team.
  • Manage and execute regular quality assurance checks and audits to ensure processes meet regulatory requirements and the knowledge base is consistently audit‐ready.
  • Design, map, and continuously improve operational workflows (content submission, review, and archival) to maximise efficiency for content creators and the operational team.

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Governance and Standards Ownership: Define and maintain a comprehensive KM governance model, including content standards, template libraries, and publishing policies.
  • Compliance and Audit Readiness: Execute regular knowledge audits and quality assurance programmes, managing FUSE controls and general compliance activities.
  • Process Design and Improvement: Design, map, and use a data‐driven approach to continuously improve KM‐related workflows.
  • Quality Assurance Implementation: Work with the Knowledge and Insight Manager to implement a formal QA programme, ensuring published content adheres to style guide, brand tone, and technical accuracy standards.
  • Well‐Managed: Monitor and report on adherence to established rules and processes for content creation and lifecycle management.

Measures of Success:

  • Consistent high scores in internal QA programmes and external compliance audits (e.g., FUSE controls).
  • Measurable reduction in time or steps within key KM workflows due to successful improvements.
  • High level of compliance with defined content standards and governance model.
  • All governance documentation, policies, and workflow maps are maintained, current, and accessible to stakeholders.

Working Environment: This is a 12‐month fixed‐term contract based in the Nottingham office. The hybrid model includes three days a week in the office (Tuesday‐Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday).
