We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor with 2–5 years' experience to join our growing commercial team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to take ownership of their own projects while benefiting from the support and guidance of an experienced commercial team.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of your own projects from start to finish, ensuring costs are controlled and contracts are administered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial delivery of your own projects
- Preparing and submitting valuations and applications for payment
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Identifying and managing project variations
- Assisting with contract administration
- Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams
- Supporting the successful financial delivery of projects
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- 2–5 years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
