First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer, recognised for delivering major design and innovative engineering solutions within complex, high-hazard environments. They operate across sectors such as Power, Life Sciences, Defence, and Aviation. They're now seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Glasgow. You will be involved in a range of interesting and challenging projects, offering the kind of technical challenges you don't find at a standard firm. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing civil works for large projects (drainage, earthworks, external works)
- Producing drawings, specs, and reports to a high standard
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient solutions
- Reviewing calculations and subcontractor designs for quality and compliance
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to best practice
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years' experience working in a UK engineering design consultancy
- Strong understanding and experience in drainage design
- Experience with earthworks and externals works would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar software
- Good knowledge of design standards and regulations
