Assembly Operator in Gateshead

Job Description Assembly Operator Location: Gateshead Rate of Pay: £13.01 - £13.89 per hour (depending on experience) Hours: Monday 07.30 – 16.00 Tuesday to Thursday 07.45 – 16.00 and Friday 07.45 – 15.00. Full-time, permanent opportunity. An established and growing manufacturing business is looking to recruit an Assembly Operator to join its production team. The Role

As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for the construction and assembly of a wide range of products, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard. Your duties will include:

• Constructing and assembling a variety of products from technical drawings.
• Using a range of hand and power tools, including table saws and wall saws.
• Reading and interpreting engineering or production drawings.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure finished products meet specification.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.

What We\'re Looking For

• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience. Experience using hand tools and workshop machinery such as table saws and wall saws (desirable).
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings (advantageous).
• Excellent manual dexterity and practical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
