What To Expect
- Leading and delivering structural integrity management projects, with the ability to perform hands-on engineering assessments involving the following:
- In-service analysis of fixed (topsides and jacket) and floating offshore structures including in-place, dynamic, seismic and fatigue analysis
- Global ultimate strength-based pushover analysis
- Structural reliability analysis
- Local topsides and jacket analysis (fire, blast, dropped object and vessel impact studies)
- Finite element analysis using Ansys or Abaqus software
- Providing technical assurance to discipline and project tasks
- Providing technical leadership to engineering team in Aberdeen
- Assisting the discipline manager in business development, tender/proposals management and engineering team building activities
- Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams including project management to deliver projects on budget and schedule
- Development of structural design briefs, specifications, operating procedures and performance standards
What You Bring
- Masters degree in the field of civil, structural or mechanical engineering
- A minimum of 20 years of offshore structural engineering experience
- Structural Integrity Management experience preferred
- Proficiency in using SACS, Sesam and USFOS software
- Knowledge of cross-discipline areas (metocean, geotechnical, corrosion, materials, and welding disciplines)
- Working knowledge of best practices and relevant API and ISO offshore structural standards
- Exposure to RBI strategies
- Possess excellent report writing and general communication skills
- Be pro-active, organized, and self-directed, with the ability to work independently within a team
- Ability to work closely and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Have the right to work in the UK and be based in Aberdeen or surrounding areas
- Willingness to travel to site offices for meetings and offshore facilities for data collection and engineering coordination
