- Junior Estimator (Structural Metalworks) – Aberdeen, Scotland

We are a leading oil rig repair company with over one hundred years of history, seeking a Junior Estimator to join our highly skilled Structural Metalworks/Piping team.
The role is primarily office‑based with occasional onshore or offshore site visits, and offers scalable career progression, industry‑leading on‑the‑job training, and development.
Responsibilities
- Perform estimations for a variety of oil rig repairs both onshore and offshore.
- Review customer enquiries, CAD drawings and technical specifications to produce detailed cost estimates, tenders and quotations.
- Request and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations, maintain pricing databases and estimation records.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to confirm manufacturability and liaise directly with customers regarding technical and commercial queries.
Qualifications
- Previous estimation experience.
- Background in Construction/Structural Metalworks or Piping.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data.
- Strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills.
- Preferred
- Prior welding experience.
- Experience with MIG or TIG welding processes.
- Knowledge of fabrication and steelwork.
