We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a well‑established and growing fire and security business covering the North East of England.

This is a field‑based role, ideally suited to an engineer who is confident working independently across servicing, maintenance, fault finding and small works on a range of fire alarm systems within commercial and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintenance and fault finding on fire alarm systems
  • Carrying out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Small works, repairs and system adjustments where required
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with current standards and regulations
  • Completing accurate service documentation and reports
  • Providing a high level of customer service while on site

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good knowledge of a range of fire alarm systems (multiple manufacturers desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and compliance standards
