This role will support R&D and engineering activities with a strong focus on systems integration, product engineering support, technical documentation, and product compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the progression of products from development through to production. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and technically minded Engineer looking to develop their experience within a collaborative product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support prototype builds, product development activities, and engineering validation tasks
  • Assist with component sourcing and coordination with procurement teams
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical drawings, cable drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Support the transfer of products from development into production, including assembly and test documentation
  • Assist with maintaining technical construction files and compliance documentation for product approvals and regulatory activities
  • Support systems integration and hardware development activities
  • Assist with evaluating and integrating new components, technologies, and third-party equipment
  • Perform first-line triage of product issues and quality observations, escalating where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, technical documentation, and change control information
  • Support wider engineering and R&D activities as required

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or similar) or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation control and BOM management
  • Familiarity with engineering change processes and controlled documentation systems
  • Experience using ERP systems and engineering/project management tools
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Basic understanding of electronic and electromechanical systems
  • Understanding of product development lifecycles from concept through to production
  • Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements for electronic products
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Exposure to manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience supporting compliance activities and product approvals
  • Experience working within international or multidisciplinary teams
