The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including tenders and pre-construction budgets.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to produce comprehensive pricing submissions.
- Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and clients to ensure estimates reflect scope, risk, and delivery requirements.
- Play a key role in business development by identifying new opportunities and supporting client relationship management.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance targets.
- Manage, mentor and develop a small estimating and support team.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates and market conditions to inform commercial and operational decisions.
About You
You’ll be a commercially minded construction professional with strong leadership capability and a proven background in estimating. Significant experience in construction estimating with a strong grasp of costing methodologies and market rates. Sound commercial judgement, ideally with exposure to senior management, business leadership, or director-level responsibilities. Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience leading teams and contributing to business strategy.
