The company is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering company operating as a sub‑contractor for most of the major and regional housebuilders, as well as other market sectors.
Working within the Quantity Surveying Team to manage all commercial elements throughout the project lifecycle:
- Minimise costs and enhance value for money.
- Achieve the required standards and quality in accordance with contract and client expectations.
- Ensuring contractual and commercial risks and opportunities are identified and addressed.
- Cost planning and contract engagement.
- Sourcing specified materials based on cost & quality.
- Attend progress meetings to respond to commercial matters raised.
- Ongoing liaison with site team, supply chain, and Clients’ representatives.
- Support and advise the project manager in respect of fulfilment of all contractual obligations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recently graduated with a Quantity Surveying degree.
- Competent IT skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
- Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure as part of a team and individually.
- Willing to travel to sites throughout the UK.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
