Our client, a cutting‑edge high‑tech car garage in Petersfield, is actively looking to appoint an EV Diagnostic Technician. This position presents an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians with a background in electric‑vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs to develop their career within a dynamic, future‑focused environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary circa £45,000, depending on experience
  • 40‑hour working week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Saturdays on a 1‑in‑4 rota, 8.30 am to 1 pm, supporting work‑life balance

Duties

  • Perform electric‑vehicle servicing and repairs to the highest standards
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify faults accurately
  • Use modern diagnostic tools and equipment to support repairs
  • Assist in maintaining workshop standards, health, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate to ensure a smooth workflow and high service quality
  • Offer technical support and advice to team members, contributing to team success
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop environment
  • Maintain accurate records of work and communicate findings effectively to clients

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an EV Diagnostic Technician or mechanic in a busy workshop setting
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to swiftly identify vehicle faults
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQs or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair, with specific training in electric‑vehicle and hybrid systems
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team
  • Excellent organisational skills and a professional work attitude
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of electric‑vehicle technology and safety procedures
  • Passion for working with innovative automotive systems and technology
