Job Description

We are recruiting for a nationwide company who have one of their UK service Hubs based here in Leighton Buzzard.

They are seeking an experienced 'Estimator' to join their core regional team.

Location

Leighton Buzzard, fully office based. No remote or hybrid working.

Contract Type

Overview

  • The main duties and responsibilities of the Service Estimator include preparing and issuing quotations from Engineers' reports.

Processing quote acceptances, including ordering parts from internal and external sources, various warehouse duties and supporting and assisting the Service Co-ordinators when/where necessary.

Duties will include, but not limited to

  • Estimating and preparing SAP quotations from Engineers reports.
  • Liaising with external suppliers/competitors to ascertain correct product details and up to date costs.
  • Issuing of prepared quotations to clients with subsequent follow-up and progressing.
  • Recording of quotation details within the quotation database.
  • Ensuring uniformity and accuracy of pricing nationally.
  • Processing quote acceptance via our SAP system. Ordering parts from our head office and external suppliers.
  • Receiving deliveries and processing as/when necessary.
  • Liaising with other departments where required.
  • General administrative duties as required to support the operation of the busy Service department.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • The candidate must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels are essential.
  • A good working knowledge of Word and Excel is essential, with SAP an advantage.
  • Evidence of proven experience in team leadership .
  • Ability to problem solve, pro-active and driven.
