FM Conway is looking to recruit a Plant Supervisor to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division at the Erith Asphalt plant. The successful candidate will perform a multi-skilled role that includes operating the asphalt plant, mobile plant, weighbridge functions, and coordinating the shift and supervising the site.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate the operational team to achieve excellence and continual improvement in quality and efficiency.
  • Manage stock levels of fuel, constituent and raw materials.
  • Ensure mixing plans are carried out effectively and cost‑effectively.
  • Report critical issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Generate task specific risk assessments and safe working practices.
  • Control and supervise contractors in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and practices.
  • Carry out all weighbridge functions, including managing the daily delivery schedule and maintaining with team members to meet customer needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with asphalt plant manufacturing operating systems.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices and legislation.
  • Experience operating loading shovels, telehandlers and weighbridges.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
