Role Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a market‑leading heavy industrial manufacturing business.
The Engineering Team Leader will split time between hands‑on maintenance and leading the shift engineering team, ensuring plant reliability, supporting production and driving engineering standards across the site.
Responsibilities
- Lead the shift engineering team and supervise maintenance activities.
- Carry out reactive breakdowns and planned preventive maintenance.
- Drive engineering standards and ensure plant reliability.
- Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
Requirements
- Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent).
- Multi‑skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Experience in electrical fault‑finding and equipment repair.
- Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
- Experience working on industrial plant and production machinery.
- Experience in continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
- Comfortable working at heights; physically fit.
- Welding and fabrication experience welcomed.
- Experience in food, FMCG, agricultural or heavy industrial manufacturing is desirable.
