As an Engineering Support Operative, you'll play a key role in supporting our Hub Engineering Team, ensuring vital equipment stays running efficiently. You'll gain valuable experience working with industry-leading machinery while being supported in your professional growth.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the Engineering Team in responding quickly to equipment breakdowns
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on sortation systems, conveyors, and associated equipment
- Assist with maintaining smooth operations in a high-paced, mission-critical environment
- Record all engineering work accurately using systems and maintenance logs
- Help maintain safe working practices, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies
- Liaise with external contractors and assist with work permits
- Monitor and report on critical spare parts, highlighting shortages
- Support routine safety checks, including fire alarm testing and other compliance requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
What you'll bring to the role:
