A leading £100m turnover M&E Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their expanding operations team in Central London. Specialising in residential and commercial developments with project values up to £30m M&E, this well-established contractor has an excellent reputation for delivering technically challenging projects to a high standard across the London market. The Role
- Reporting into the Project Manager / Contracts Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of electrical packages from pre‑construction through to practical completion.
- Projects are primarily based across Central London and include a mix of high‑end residential and large commercial schemes.
- Managing electrical packages from design stage through to PC.
- Reviewing and coordinating technical drawings and specifications.
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and client teams.
- Attending design, coordination, and progress meetings.
- Monitoring installation quality and programme on site.
- Assisting with procurement and subcontractor management.
- Supporting commissioning, testing, snagging, and handover processes.
- Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum HNC qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering M&E projects from design phase through to completion.
- Previous experience within the residential and/or commercial sectors.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical building services installations.
- Experience working for an M&E Contractor is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work within fast‑paced project environments.
