The Role – Electrical Maintenance Engineer
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will support production by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across a varied manufacturing plant. You will diagnose faults, minimise downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Role Duties include
- Electrical fault finding and repairs on production machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
- Working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Assisting with equipment upgrades and reliability improvements
- Liaising effectively with production and engineering teams
Role Requirements – Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Applications are welcomed from electrically qualified engineers with experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications
- ONC/HNC/HND Engineering preferred
- 18th Edition preferred
- Apprenticeship
Experience of the following would be advantageous: PLC fault finding and diagnostics Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) Industrial electrical systems Hydraulics and pneumatics Mechanical maintenance and fitting Continuous process or high-volume manufacturing environments
