The Opportunity

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major new-build water treatment projects across Surrey and Slough. This is a long-term contract role for an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer with a proven background in new-build water treatment works. If you’ve successfully delivered electrical packages on complex water infrastructure schemes and want to join a high-performing project team, this is a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical engineering activities on new-build water treatment projects
  • Oversee design reviews, technical submissions, and compliance with industry standards
  • Manage subcontractors, installation quality, and site progress
  • Ensure all electrical works meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Support project delivery teams with planning, reporting, and problem-solving
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, client representatives, and supply chain partners

Requirements

  • Previous experience on new-build water treatment works is essential.
  • Strong background with Tier 1 contractors or major utilities frameworks
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or related trade qualifications
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems within water treatment environments
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive delivery to programme.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts, CDM, ATEX, DSEAR

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CSCS/ECS Card
  • EUSR Water Hygiene Card
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • City & Guilds Authorised Person Module
