Job Overview
Location: Mobile covering South Coast/Southern home counties. Office Base: Ascot, Berkshire.
Responsibilities
- Carry out pre-planned maintenance works to sprinkler fire pumps to relevant standards.
- Understand fire panels, and sprinkler systems including pumps and diesel engines.
- Assist other engineers in carrying out repairs and fault-finding on fire sprinkler pumps.
- Carry out repairs to rotating equipment to a high standard.
- Complete job reports on each inspection/breakdown.
- Required Experience and Skills
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ideally experience of or working knowledge of sprinkler fire pumps.
- Experience of working with diesel engines.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with clients.
- Strong written and attention-to-detail skills to complete job reports.
- Ability to work effectively on your own and work autonomously with little supervision, but know when to escalat[e] for support.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance related field (desirable but not essential).
Benefits
25 days holiday + bank holidays; company pension scheme; company van + fuel card; mobile phone and tablet; 40 hours per week worked from 8am to 5pm with occasional weekend working (paid as overtime); travel time, call out and standby rates also offered.
