An exciting opportunity has arisen for a client‑side Project Manager / Development Manager to join a well‑established, nationally recognised organisation with an extensive UK‑wide property portfolio. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of projects, supporting the development and enhancement of a growing estate, with full lifecycle project exposure from inception through to completion.

The Role

Reporting into a senior leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering multiple construction and development projects across the UK. This is a hands‑on client‑side role, offering a mix of project management, stakeholder engagement, and technical oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple construction projects from feasibility through to completion and defects
  • Coordinating design development, procurement, and delivery of major works
  • Acting as Contract Administrator (JCT) during the construction phase
  • Overseeing project budgets, cost planning, and capital expenditure reporting
  • Leading stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external consultants
  • Supporting planning applications and building regulations approvals
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and health & safety standards
  • Monitoring project progress, quality, and programme delivery
  • Reviewing technical drawings (AutoCAD) and maintaining project documentation
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of specifications and development processes

About You

We're looking for a proactive and driven Project Manager who enjoys working in a collaborative, client‑side environment. You will ideally have:

  • 2+ years' experience in construction project management
  • Experience administering JCT contracts
  • Good knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and H&S legislation
  • Exposure to managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Degree / HND in a construction‑related discipline (desirable)
  • Professional membership (e.g. CIOB) or working towards (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • SMSTS / CSCS qualifications are advantageous, though support can be provided.
