Vickerstock are working in partnership with a global manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Graduate HSE Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career within Health, Safety and Environmental management, joining a business experiencing continued growth and investment.
In this role, you will support the HSE function across both administrative and practical activities, gaining exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to the development of a strong safety culture and compliance with HSE standards.
In your new role:
- Support incident management processes including accident reporting, investigations, and KPI tracking
- Maintain and update HSE data management systems and records
- Assist with the coordination of HSE training and site requirements
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date HSE information
- Attend site meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
- Assist with confidential reporting, claims management, and HSE administration
- Coordinate occupational health reviews with external providers
- Support general administrative duties including purchase orders and invoice queries
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across the site
What you will need to succeed:
- Recently graduated (or due to graduate) with a minimum 2:2 degree in Environmental Health or a related discipline
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge or experience of data management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to work effectively within a team and manage changing priorities
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Exposure to HSE tasks such as risk assessments or incident investigations
- IOSH qualification or similar
- Experience using ERP systems
- Previous placement or within a manufacturing or industrial environment
