Assembly Operator

Location: Dundee

Pay Rate: 14.20 per hour, Overtime also available at time and a half and double time

Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing Opportunity with potential permanent employment)

Shift Pattern: Dayshifts (either 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm), weekdays only with early finish on Fridays

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for Assembly Operators to join a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organisation in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, modern, and quality-driven environment where precision and attention to detail are key.

You will play a vital role in the production of high-quality components, working as part of a supportive and structured team while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Precision Assembly

  • Assemble small, delicate, and often intricate components to exact specifications
  • Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to ensure accuracy in every build

Working to Instructions

  • Follow detailed written, diagrammatic, and visual instructions
  • Ensure consistency and compliance with strict manufacturing processes

Quality Assurance

  • Carry out visual inspections and quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Identify and report defects or inconsistencies to maintain production standards

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Adhere to all on-site health & safety procedures and policies
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in line with company expectations

Productivity & Team Contribution

  • Work both independently and collaboratively to meet daily and weekly targets
  • Take ownership of your own output, ensuring quality and efficiency

Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly is highly desirable
  • Experience handling small or electronic components would be advantageous
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
