A well‑established heavy industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrical Contractor to join its engineering team. Working alongside a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installation work on factory/process machinery.
Key Duties
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive breakdown repairs
- Installation and maintenance of factory/process machinery
- Fault finding on 415V, 240V, 110V & 24VAC/DC systems
- Reading/interpreting electrical drawings
- PLC fault finding (I/O checks only)
- Overhead crane fault diagnosis
- Maintenance of lighting, alarms & emergency systems
- Basic control panel building & CCTV design
- Completing shift reports and working safely
Requirements
- Time Served / Apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance
- 18th Edition desirable
- Heavy industrial experience essential
- Slitting/decoiling machinery experience advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Fuse checks
- Continuity testing
- Insulation resistance testing
- Motor winding continuity testing
- Equipment identification
- Live testing
- Reading electrical drawings
Shift Pattern
- Mon–Fri | 6am–2pm
- Mon–Thurs | 8pm–6am
- Mon–Thurs | 2pm–12am
