Are you an experienced Plumbing and Gas professional looking to move into training and assessment?

Do you want to step away from full-time site work and into a rewarding role where you can support learners, work closely with employers, and help develop the next of Plumbing professionals?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading College within its Construction curriculum area, supporting Plumbing provision across apprenticeships and full-time learners.

You'll play a key role in helping learners develop their technical skills, achieve their qualifications, and progress successfully within the industry.

As a Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor, you'll be involved in planning, preparation, delivery, assessment, learner support, employer engagement, quality assurance, and internal verification activity.

You'll also support learner reviews, assessment and verification tasks, ensuring timely completion and achievement claims in line with College, awarding body, and funding requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong industrial Plumbing experience alongside a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Plumbing and Heating.

You'll have a good understanding of quality assurance processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire apprentices.

A1 and V1 Awards would be highly desirable, although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plumbing and Gas professional to move into education, support apprentices and learners, and make a lasting impact within a high-quality College provision.

The role

  • Support Plumbing provision across apprenticeships and full-time learners.
  • Plan, prepare, deliver, assess, and support learner progress.
  • Carry out learner reviews, assessment, verification, and quality assurance activity.
  • Work closely with employers, learners, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely completion and achievement claims in line with College, awarding body, and funding requirements.
  • Support internal verification and maintain high standards across the provision.
  • Complete accurate learner records, tracking, and administration.
  • Permanent position, 35.5 hours per week.
  • Excellent package including pension, 30 bookable days holiday, 8 public holidays, two weeks at Christmas, and Health Scheme access.

The person

  • Level 3 Mechanical Plumbing and Heating qualification.
  • Relevant industrial Plumbing experience.
  • A1 and V1 Awards desirable, with potential flexibility for the right candidate.
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Able to motivate and inspire apprentices and learners.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Teaching or training qualification desirable.
  • Experience with apprenticeships, employer-led programmes, or Gas installation would be advantageous.
