Project Engineer in DA1 in Dartford

Project Engineer – Ductwork Dartford & London | Up to £65,000 | Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer to join a specialist ductwork contractor based in Dartford, delivering projects across London. Previous ductwork / ventilation experience is essential for this position. This is a hands‑on technical role where you will take projects from initial site survey and measurement through to detailed drawings, manufacture and installation.

The Role

• Carry out detailed site surveys and measurements.
• Assess ductwork routes, dimensions, levels and potential site obstacles.
• Produce accurate schematic and technical drawings for manufacture.
• Work closely with the fabrication workshop to ensure ductwork is manufactured accurately.
• Use AutoCAD to produce and develop project drawings.
• Coordinate materials, labour and subcontractors.
• Attend sites across London and oversee installation.
• Resolve technical and installation issues throughout the project.
• Take ownership of projects from survey through to completion.

What We're Looking For

• Must have previous ductwork / mechanical ventilation experience.
• Strong understanding of ductwork manufacture, fabrication and installation.
• Site surveying experience.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Ability to read and produce detailed technical drawings.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ideally knowledge of DW144 / DW145.
• Previous Project Engineer, Contracts Engineer, Ductwork Designer, CAD Engineer or senior ductwork experience would be advantageous.
• No specific formal qualification is required if you have the right industry experience.
