Job Description
Conrad Consulting are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a major long-term project based in Ayrshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a complex project environment, working with key stakeholders and supporting the successful delivery of commercial objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing commercial activities, supporting cost control, contract administration, and ensuring effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Managing subcontractor packages and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Supporting cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Managing valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts
- Supporting contract administration and commercial governance
- Working collaboratively with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Providing commercial insight and support to ensure successful project outcomes
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:
- Strong Quantity Surveying / Commercial experience
- A background within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar complex project environments
- Experience working with NEC4, JCT and ICHEME contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
Role Summary:
Location: Ayrshire
Duration: 6 months initially, with possibility of extension
Rate: Up to £65 per hour
