You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive team of instructors, all from industry backgrounds, working together to deliver engaging workshop‑based learning. With a strong focus on practical delivery, behaviour development, and employability skills, this is a role where your experience truly matters. In this role, you’ll deliver a mix of theory and hands‑on sessions across areas such as brickwork, carpentry, joinery, decorating, and basic multi‑trade skills. You’ll support learners in developing both technical ability and workplace behaviours, helping them grow in confidence and move towards positive outcomes.
The Role- Deliver practical and theory‑based construction sessions in a workshop/classroom environment
- Teach multi‑trade skills including brickwork, carpentry, joinery and decorating
- Support learners in developing confidence, behaviour and employability skills
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on performance and development
- Maintain a safe, organised workshop and promote best health & safety practices
- Work closely with other instructors and support staff to create a positive learning environment
- Background in construction with at least two strong trade skills (e.g. brickwork, carpentry, joinery, plastering or decorating)
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline
- Passion for supporting and developing people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, approachable, and positive mindset
- Willingness to work towards a teaching/assessing qualification (if not already held)
