We design, test, analyse and manufacture technology solutions for ice protection and drag reduction in the aviation and aerospace sectors. Since 1942, we have delivered exceptional aviation solutions for light aircraft to commercial airliners and developed a reputation for innovation and excellence. We are now looking for a Maintenance Operative to join our growing team based in Consett, County Durham.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the Maintenance Technician in carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure machinery, buildings, facilities and equipment are kept in safe, functional and efficient working order.

Responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on machines, buildings and equipment
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify and address mechanical and maintenance issues
  • Carrying out basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and decorating tasks
  • Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to
  • Assisting with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
Qualifications
  • A time served mechanical background
  • Knowledge of multiple trades (including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and decorating) and the ability to work with various materials including wood and metal
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and manage own workload
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
