Our Client, a well established construction company, is looking to recruit a Compliance Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring project compliance and ensuring that the Company’s Quality, Environmental, Management and Safety Systems (QEMS) are consistently implemented, maintained and continuously improved across all operating companies. Reporting to the Operations & Systems Manager, you will work closely with Operational Company Heads, project teams and system stakeholders to embed company procedures, ISO standards and digital construction systems.

Remuneration

  • Salary: £35,000 + (dependent on experience)
  • Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (Earlier finish on a Friday)
  • 25 days leave (in addition to public holidays), plus an additional birthday bonus

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure QEMS compliance across all operating companies
  • Support internal stakeholders to embed compliant and effective operational processes
  • Deliver on-site training to new and existing employees on quality and compliance procedures
  • Provide support for Internal and External ISO Audits across the business and oversee Digital Systems & Project Compliance with Field View / Viewpoint
  • Promote adoption and effective use of Field View / Viewpoint across project teams
  • Support employee training and ongoing development of system use
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of digital form templates
  • Provide system support to the Operations & Systems Manager for Evision
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure compliance when raising Material & Plant Requisitions
  • Support accurate submission of Goods Received Notes (GRNs) in line with company processes
  • Act as Project Management Passport Mentor and support the design, implementation and monitoring of internal Project Management training programmes
  • Provide administrative and compliance support to Meldrum Fire Engineering; utilise Bolster and FIRAS systems to maintain BM TRADA FIRAS compliance
  • Identify operational issues and proactively recommend solutions, ensuring QEMS procedures are followed across live construction environments
  • Contribute to the development of Operational Support functions; promote collaborative working across operational and project teams and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives

Position Requirements

You’ll be a detail-driven and confident communicator who can engage effectively with both site-based teams and senior stakeholders. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and be comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience within a Compliance, Quality or Document Control role (2-3 years+)
  • Experience working within construction or project-based environments
  • Knowledge of Project Information Management Systems
  • Experience compiling O&M Manuals
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Business Administration
  • Knowledge of construction compliance systems and standards
