A London-based organisation is seeking an experienced Commercial Removals Project Manager for a fixed-term contract, offering hybrid working. Operating within a corporate environment, this role will lead a high-profile, large-scale office relocation within a live business setting. It is ideally suited to a strategic relocation professional with a proven record of delivering complex commercial moves end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive corporate relocation strategy and fully integrated move masterplan aligned to business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major commercial office move, from site decommissioning through to workplace mobilisation.
  • Direct all commercial removals activities, including phased staff moves, specialist equipment handling and asset management.
  • Manage complex IT and AV relocation programmes, including secure server room migration and critical infrastructure transition.
  • Deliver relocation works within an occupied environment, safeguarding business continuity and minimising operational disruption.
  • Implement robust project governance controls, including RAID logs, reporting frameworks, change control and performance tracking.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to align estates, facilities, HR and operational requirements with relocation timelines.
  • Procure, appoint and manage removal contractors and specialist relocation suppliers, ensuring service excellence and compliance.
  • Control and forecast relocation budgets, driving cost efficiencies without compromising service quality.
  • Lead comprehensive risk management, health and safety planning and contingency arrangements for mission-critical services.
  • Develop and execute structured communication and engagement strategies to support organisational readiness and staff transition.
  • Oversee space planning, final positioning and Day-One readiness, followed by post-move hyper-care and formal project close-down.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Extensive project management experience within the commercial removals and relocation industry, with essential corporate office move expertise.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale, complex workplace relocations from strategy through to post-move support.
  • Strong experience relocating IT infrastructure and critical technical environments, including secure server facilities.
  • Advanced governance capability, including RAID management, structured reporting and controlled programme delivery.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, contractor negotiation and commercial budget management within relocation projects.
  • Professional project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent, supported by strong analytical and strategic acumen.
