Commercial Engineer Salary: £45,000 per annum Location: [DE Postcode] Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who is confident working in commercial environments and looking for a stable role with no out-of-hours call-outs. You will be responsible for carrying out service, repair and installation work across a range of commercial sites, providing a professional and reliable service to our customers.
The Role
- Carrying out planned and reactive service and repair work within commercial settings.
- Installing equipment and systems to a high standard.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Completing testing, inspection and commissioning where required.
- Maintaining accurate service and job records.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety procedures.
- Representing the company professionally when working on customer sites.
- Working independently while maintaining good communication with the wider team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday – standard working hours.
- No out-of-hours work or call-out rota.
- 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis.
- Saturday work paid at time and a half.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Engineer or in a similar engineering role.
- Strong experience in service, repair and installation.
- Experience working within commercial environments.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to health and safety and quality workmanship.
- Relevant industry qualifications and certifications.
- A full UK driving licence.
