About the Role

Our client within the commercial insurance sector is looking for a driven and resilient SDR (Sales Development Representative) to support their Business Development team. This is a high-activity outbound role focused on cold calling businesses, identifying commercial insurance renewal dates, building a quality sales pipeline, and securing qualified meetings for Account Executives and Directors. This is an opportunity to work within a high performing team for a fast growing business. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls to businesses daily
  • Identify and engage key decision makers within target companies
  • Gather and accurately record commercial insurance renewal dates
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline within the CRM system
  • Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria
  • Book qualified meetings for the Account Executives and Directors
  • Follow up consistently to nurture opportunities and maximise conversion
  • Maintain accurate notes and activity tracking
  • Meet and exceed call, pipeline, and appointment targets

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 12 months’ demonstrable experience in cold calling and outbound business development
  • Proven experience building and managing sales pipelines
  • Experience securing appointments for external sales teams or BDMs
  • Strong telephone communication and objection-handling skills
  • Comfortable working against KPIs and activity targets
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage prospects and reporting
  • Professional and confident communication style
