Job DescriptionPosition: Coded TIG Welder - Aluminium Shift Pattern: Day shift OR 3 Shift Location: Wolverhampton Duration: 6 Months, Long-term options for the right candidate Start Date: June 2026 Pay Rate: £35 - 40 per hour, 39 hours per week - £65k Salary equivalent on 3 Shift --Premium Overtime for Saturday and Sundays Pay Method: Umbrella PAYE Industry: Automotive (FMCG/Warehouse/Pharmaceutical experience also considered) You'll support the fabrication and assembly of Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units and other electrification technologies, working with lightweight aluminium components in a high-volume production environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium components to engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure weld integrity, consistency, and compliance with quality standards. Prepare materials including cleaning, cutting, and fitting prior to welding. Conduct visual inspections and support NDT or quality checks where required. Rectify weld defects and implement corrective actions. Support production targets while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. Assist with weekend/shutdown work and continuous improvement activities. Skills
