Job Description Job Role Sets up and operates C.

C. and conventional machines to produce components in accordance with specifications.

Makes necessary edits to NC part programmes to optimise the machining of components and feeds this information back to programmers. (This may need metric/imperial conversion.) Selects and where necessary pre‑sets tooling in accordance with Tool Sheets.

Checks finished work in accordance with Quality Acceptance Standard, using relevant measurement equipment (e. g.

Micrometer, Vernier, C.

M.).

Maintains tooling, components, machine and working environment in a clean and orderly state.

Carries out basic lubrication and maintenance of machines in line with training.

Maintains documentation regarding quality and progress of the job.

The CNC Operator position is on a 3 shift pattern (mornings/afternoons/nights) and is paid at an attractive hourly rate.

This is an initial 3‑6 month role, however there could be scope for extension depending on workload on site.

Education and Experience ONC or City Guilds in relevant discipline.

Previous CNC operation in an engineering environment.
