SSC Engineering, a nationally recognized, locally-owned consulting engineering firm, has an opportunity in our Chesterfield, MO office for a full-time Structural Engineer. The role involves the design and construction of a variety of structures, including medical, commercial, retail, and institutional buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design.
- Generate design estimates and proposals.
- Prepare reports.
- Supervise drawing production.
- Interface with clients and conduct some field observation work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from a U.S. ABET-accredited university.
- FE registration.
- Strong educational background in structural engineering.
- Experience with structural engineering software such as Enercalc and RAM is a benefit.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with CAD/Revit software is a plus.
- Experience with lateral systems, seismic design, load paths, foundations, framing systems, connections, and the layout and detailing of steel, concrete, and wood systems.
- Up to 5 years of experience in a related field.
Consideration given to applications with up to 5 years of experience in a related field.
