Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents.
- Complete all service requests as assigned.
- Complete all make-ready units.
- Care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
- Supply all personal tools.
- Clean work area, tools and equipment.
- Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
- Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Maintain positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all company safety policies at all times.
- Weekend work may be required.
- Adhere to policies including safety and Fair Housing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Three years of experience in apartment maintenance.
- HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
- Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
- Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
- Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and Happy Co.
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance may be required depending on the property.
