We are working alongside a successful building subcontractor who work across several sectors of the construction industry. They are actively looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who knows the facades industry and is able to work on both pre and post commercial issues.

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be based at their head office in Essex and will be expected to commercially run several projects from £½ million upwards at different stages of the process. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the subcontract procurement for the projects and management of subcontract accounts, negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions, monthly valuations; profit planning, identification and valuation of variations, detailed monthly cost/value reporting and the management of all Junior commercial staff working on allocated projects. Other responsibilities will include taking enquiries and managing pricing/tender to successful award.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years working as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Experience and understanding of the window/facades industry
  • Stable career history
  • Live within commuting distance of Northampton or North West London
  • Successful career to date
